📖 An online catalogue for any sales channel

Give a sales channel its own public catalogue on Erpilo, where anyone can browse its products, see prices and stock, and contact you.

Sometimes you just need to show a customer what you have: a range for a trade fair, a price list for a wholesale buyer, or your whole catalogue when you have no website of your own. Now any sales channel can have its own online catalogue on Erpilo, at one link you can send, share or print on a flyer.

It is a catalogue, not a shop: visitors browse and contact you, and nothing is ordered or paid for on it. In the app it is called the Shop page.

Setting it up

  1. Go to Settings â–¸ Sales channels and open a channel.
  2. In the Shop page card, tick Show a public shop page for this channel.
  3. Choose an Address. Your page will be at app.erpilo.com/shop/your-address. The address is unique across Erpilo, so pick something recognisably yours.
  4. Add a Welcome text and a Contact email, and a Contact phone if you like.
  5. Click Save shop page. The card shows the live address.

Only owners and admins can switch the catalogue on or change it.

Before the page can show prices, the channel needs its currency and whether its prices include tax. Both are in the form above the card, and the card tells you if either is missing.

What visitors see

  • The product list: photo, name and price, with your company name and logo at the top. If a product has a compare-at price, it is shown struck through as a sale. Visitors can search by name, filter by category and page through the list.
  • Each product's page: pictures, description, brand and price. Choosing a variant changes the price, picture and stock.
  • Stock: each product shows In stock or Out of stock, from the channel's warehouse. Quantities are never shown.
  • Contact us: this opens an email to you with the product's name already in the subject. Nothing can be bought on the page. It shows your range, and the customer gets in touch.
  • Languages: if the channel publishes in more than one language, visitors can switch between them.

The page works on a phone, needs no login, and sets no tracking cookies.

Which products appear

Every active product you have put on the channel, whether its stage is Draft or Ready. To take a product off the page, remove it from the channel or make it inactive.

Where the channel has its own wording or pictures for a product, the page uses them. Prices follow the channel's currency and its "prices include tax" setting.

Good to know

  • Untick the box to take the page down. The address shows "not found" but stays yours, so ticking the box again brings the page back at the same link.
  • Archiving a channel takes its page down too, and restoring the channel brings it back.
  • Changing the address stops the old link working straight away.
  • Not yet: a basket, ordering or payment on the page, your own domain, or choosing colours and layout.
