📦 Stock has moved to its own Inventory section
Count a whole warehouse on one screen and save it in one go. Product pages now show stock instead of asking you to type it in, variant by variant.
Typing stock into the product page never really worked once you had variants and more than one warehouse. A shirt in three sizes and two colours across three locations meant switching warehouse, hunting for cells, and eighteen separate saves - with nothing telling you what you'd already done.
Stock now lives in its own place: a new Inventory menu, with a count sheet built for exactly this job.
Where things are now
Inventory â–¸ Stock on hand - everything you hold, with a column per warehouse and a total. Read-only; it's the overview.

Inventory â–¸ Warehouses - moved here from Settings. Still admin-only.
If your company has one warehouse, you'll see no warehouse columns, no location picker and no warehouse names anywhere. Nothing to configure - it just stays out of the way.
How a stock count works
Pick the warehouse first, at the top of the page. Everything below is that one location, which is why there's only ever one column to type in no matter how many warehouses you have.
Each line shows three numbers:

Variants are grouped under their parent product, so all six sizes of one shirt sit together on the same screen instead of being scattered.
At the bottom you'll see how many lines you've counted and the net change, then Save count writes the whole sheet at once.
The rule worth remembering: blank means "not counted"
An empty Counted box leaves that line completely alone. Not zero - untouched. Nothing is written, no history is recorded, the quantity stays exactly as it was.
This is what makes partial counts safe. You can count one shelf, save, and come back to the rest tomorrow without the untouched products being reset to nothing.
If you genuinely have none of something, type 0. That's a real count and Erpilo will record it.
Related: counting a line to the number it already shows records nothing either. If On hand says 40 and you count 40, that's a confirmation, not a change, so it doesn't clutter your stock history.
Choose a reason, add a note
Every count carries a reason - Counted, Damaged, Lost, Found, Returned or Other - and an optional note. Both are stored against every line the save changes, so months later you can tell a stocktake apart from a breakage.
If stock moves while you're counting
It happens: you open the sheet, and someone sends an invoice before you press Save.
Erpilo handles it without losing your work. The number you counted is what you end up with - it's applied to the real current quantity, not the stale one on your screen. Afterwards you'll see a yellow banner naming the affected lines and telling you what the quantity was when you saved versus what you were looking at.
Nothing is blocked and nothing is silently overwritten. You just get told, so you can double-check that particular product if you want to.
Product pages now show stock instead of editing it
Open any product and you'll see what you hold - but you can't type over it.
- A simple product shows
On handwith a per-warehouse breakdown underneath. - A product with variants shows a grid: variants down the side, warehouses across the top, with totals on both.
- A service shows nothing at all, since services don't hold stock.
Each one has an Adjust stock → link that takes you straight to a count sheet already filtered to that product and its variants.
There's one exception. When you create a new product you can still enter an opening stock figure, because typing one number when you add a product is quicker than making a separate trip to the count sheet. After that, quantities change on the count sheet.
Who can do what
Anyone in your company can run a stock count - the same people who could edit stock on the product page before, so nothing has been taken away.
Creating and editing warehouses is still restricted to administrators.
Worth knowing
Stock counts don't create accounting entries. Adjusting a quantity records stock history but doesn't touch your books, exactly as editing stock on the product page used to.
Deactivated warehouses still show their stock. If a location is closed but still holds something, you'll see it and can still count it - stock never gets stranded somewhere you can't reach.
